Olympia Tugboat Races 2004

This year's coverage of Olympia's tugboat races brings us back to the basics of just reporting on the races.

Over the 2 1/2 mile course, tugs, both working and restored race in four heats, separated by horsepower.  Out of the 20 boats that raced, eight were newcomers to the Olympia Classic.

In the first heat, the Small Harbor Class (R), HENRIETTA FOSS and THELMA S battle it out for second place.

Ultimately, it was perennial favorite -- and winner, JOE, who took home the gold.
