Seattle  2003  page 2

Halftime activities included a demonstration of containment techniques by Foss Environmental,

And of course, the traditional tugboat pushoff contests. Crowley boats and Foss boats went off against their own, but alas, not each other!

Back to the races--

(r) In Class C (heat 2), it was an easy win for ISLAND WIND at 8m 41s.

(L) At the line, we see CHIEF and PALOMAR.

Class B always has some powerful competition, as HENRY FOSS edges out ALYSSA ANN (?)* and MARIS PEARL.

*Corrections welcome

OCEAN EAGLE, SHELLY FOSS and PACIFIC  battle it out!
But in the end it was PATRICIA S, with the fewest horsepower -- (1800) that brought home the trophy. Must have been all those cheering people on board.

In the Class A heat the raw power came out. It was Crowley in the first two positions with HUNTER finishing just seconds ahead of RESPONSE. Both boats are rated at 7200 hp.
