British Columbia Timberwolf Canus lupus columbianus

Destiny was a real sweetheart of a wolf. She arrived at Wolfhaven in 1984 as a scared little pup with an unknown background.  After a harrowing period with an established pair -- Nimrod and Nakomas, Destiny was placed in her own large enclosure with Moose, a male resident of the sanctuary.  Destiny's silky (almost) pure black fur had turned salt & and pepper --  mostly white by the time she died in late Spring, 1999.

Her introduction to Nimrod and Nakomas provided me with many interesting events which I was able to study and photograph, including the shot entitled, Dominant Ambush available on this web site.  I will adding to the Destiny series as I get to it. If you don't see anything soon, write and bug me.
