In the Small Tugs heat, CATHERINE M takes an early lead over MAGGIE B and RANGER

 

During the second Harbor Tugs heat, folks on board EARNEST enjoyed the excitement of the race, while in the pilothouse, Mike Young kept his eye on the prize. It was a nice try for EARNEST - she finished sixth (out of 10), a letdown over 2001 when she was the winner in this heat.

 

Second heat Harbor Tugs class boats roar past the Space Needle on their way downtown and the finish line.

 

This year, the race course was turned around so the crowd at the Maritime Festival could watch the exciting finish of each race instead of the start.

 

Then it was the big boys. Here, Crowley Marine's SEA VENTURE goes bow to bow with GULF TITAN.
