Pacific Tree Frog

Hyla regilla

The cat was nosing at a ball of dust under the bed. Looking closely, I saw the dust move! A little treefrog had gotten into the house. I washed it off, and noticed that it was dehydrated and skinny. A couple of days in a terrarium with crickets and a bowl of water should do it.

Then early one morning, I took the treefrog out to the swamp behind my house, set it down on a big skunk cabbage leaf, and aiming the camera, wished it luck.  The frog hopped to another leaf, then disappeared.
